Washington DC

Brandon was appointed to the AHCA Emerging Leaders National Board (only 28 spots nationwide!) so he had to take a business trip to DC to meet with legislators to talk about policies and learn the ropes! Since I have nothing better to do and I have awesome parents who love watching our kids, I joined Brandon! It also happened to be a good way for us to celebrate our anniversary!

While in DC, I took the train to NYC to visit a friend! We enjoyed hanging out, having pedicures, and seeing Jersey Boys!

We went to see a comedy show on our last night there that wasn't very funny, but Brandon and I had the perfect evening enjoying dinner and blueberry mojitos beforehand (don't comment until you have tried them, they are oddly delicious!)

Pool time fun!

CC and her boys have been coming to swim a lot lately and the kids really enjoy spending this special time with their cousins! Pools are great during this heatwave!

Lake Ray Roberts/Fathers Day Fun

We've enjoyed spending time at the local lake too! We've never been out by ourselves until this year and we love the freeing feeling of having no agenda and no one to please :) Not that we don't still like going out with friends too :)

Denton Air Show

Got to do a little local fun by attending the Denton Air Show. The kids were cranky, but the show was surprisingly good!

POC Fishing

Went to Port Oconnor again this weekend to have a little family time. Kids had a great time making the live well on Papa's boat into their jacuzzi! Brandon caught a BIG shark!!! Although it was our 7 year anniversary, have no fear, Brandon and I are Washington DC bound in another week to celebrate!

Branson is 4!!!!!

I CAN NOT believe that my boy is 4! He is the apple of our eye and is soooo smart its scary! I have a hard time keeping up with the answers to all of his questions, and when asked why he asks so many questions he says, becuase it makes me learn! Great answer! For his actual bday we went to Six Flags with his cousins! Since moving closer to his cousins, they have been able to spend lots of time together this summer already and are really getting to be great friends! It's very exciting!

Branson's Birthday Party

Sorry all for neglecting my blog... I've been using Facebook because it is more compatible with my phone so I haven't been keeping up on the blog... will do better! :)

Branson's Birthday party was so much fun! It was crazy windy and we thought we'd blow over a couple of times, but we all kept our feet on the ground and had a great time with our friends! Thanks for coming out to celebrate with us!
