Trick-or-Treating!

Branson was a pro at trick-or-treating! He would walk up to the house, say trick-treat and then gladly accept the candy with a Thank You! We were so proud of him!

Branson couldn't wait for us to open the candies before he was trying to eat them! We learned later that he doesn't really care for chocolate but sure loves starburst and smarties!

I wish we had a better picture of the Cowboy and Cowgirl, but this was the only one I got!

He was, needless to say, quite tuckered out by the end of the evening.

Daycare Halloween Party

One year's difference!!! How time flies!

This train is Branson's absolute favorite thing to do at school. Rosa pulled Branson and his little friend all the way from daycare to Sagebrook to trick-or-treat with the residents.

I had to take this picture because the whole family was wearing black boots on the same day!

Halloween Pumpkins!

A long time ago... Brandon told me that he never participated in the tradition of pumpkin carving... He now has 8 years experience and has almost perfected the art. These are our pumpkins this year!

Mine (the cat in the pumpkin) quickly rotted and the very flimsy cat fell over, so now I have just a pumpkin carved in a pumpkin... I will post pics of this next week when I post Branson's Halloween Pics. For now....

Preston Lee

I totally meant to post these beautiful pictures of Branson's new cousin Preston last week, but I didn't have access to them until today. He was born on October 15th! We are all going to see him for the first time this weekend and can't wait. More pics to follow!

Garner State Park

This weekend we went camping with the Lovicotts. The weather was beautiful and we all had a great time! The kids were great playmates for each other and really made the whole experience worthwhile! Brandon and I are so happy that we have found another family that enjoys camping like we do!

All BOY!

While camping Branson took every opportunity to get DIRTY!!! He is definitely not worried about a little dirt!

Best of Friends

Harper and Branson were a joy to watch over the weekend. They played so well together and really seem to like being around each other.

Branson took the opportunity to show Harper how to eat! He loves eating and she is picky! He wanted to show her how much fun eating is!!!!


Branson and Harper had a blast playing on the four wheeler... they both thought they had to show the other how to use it right!

Of course playgrounds are always fun!

Once while in the car, I told Branson to give Harper a kiss and he went in for a very deliberate, slow kiss. We all laughed and thought it was "so cute" then later on, Harper took her chance to kiss Branson back! He didn't seem to mind at all. In fact, as Nonna put it... he looks pretty pleased with himself!

Frio River

Maybe not the best parenting decision, but on Saturday the weather was about 86 degrees, and the water wasn't that cold (I promise) and the kids really wanted to get in, so we let them... They had a great time and it was really refreshing.

Branson had a minor blow out in his diaper when I tried to take him out of the river! Oops!

Bday Party at the Manchas

My friend Jennifer hosted a bday party for my family on Sunday. She cooked a delicious meal and provided entertainment for Branson! We couldn't thank her enough!!!

Fiesta Texas

Well typically this blog has been all about Branson... but this weekend, Brandon and I went to Fiesta Texas without Branson and so I wanted to post some pics. Beings as it is almost my bday, I decided to surprise Brandon and take him on an adult's only weekend! (thanks to all of you who helped make the surprise work!) We went to Fiesta Texas for the day, saw a movie and had a great dinner! We picked up Branson from my parents on Sunday after having a great lunch handmade by my friend, Jenn. What an awesome weekend!~
