We ventured down to the coast again this weekend, this time with friends. The kids had a great time hanging out together! Unfortunately both of my kids ended up on their first round of antibiotics after this trip (bummer!) Branson had staph impetigo and Aubrie a secondary ear infection with a ruptured ear drum... both are healing well now!

A sad trip

Unfortunately, we had to make a very sad, emergency trip to Mississippi Saturday after we learned of the passing of our Granny. Nonni, Branson, Aubrie and I loaded up and headed to Mississippi so that we could be there to support our family and honor our Granny. She will be missed.

Though Branson never had the chance to meet his Great-Grandpa Wilson, we all know that Grandpa would have loved to have his great grandkids climbing all over him.
An eerie thing happened as we were leaving the cemetary... as Nonni was walking out over Grandpa (her dad's) grave site, her leg sunk in a sink hole down to her knee... people said that Grandpa must have been reaching out for her! A little strange that of all the people who walked through that spot it happened to her... who knows, she could just be a little clumsy! While there we tried to have some fun hanging out with cousins too! This is Aubrie and Ashlynn (2nd cousins). Aubrie thought Ashlynn was hilarious. (Aubrie learned to roll over officially front to back Friday 8/13 and started really belly laughing this weekend as well)

Between being crazy busy at work and a small computer crash, I have been an awful blogger! A few shots from the Witte Museum trip over July 4th weekend.

Kiddie Acres

We went!!! I remember when I was working for a foster care agency and somehow I drove by Kiddie Acres (before I had kids) and I said to myself "I'd never take my kids there!" However, fastforward 3 years and here we are! My friends all said this place rocks for toddlers and they were right! Sunday we went with Nana and the place was nearly empty, no lines, and perfect size for Branson. I recommend it to all parents of toddlers!

Well we did it, our first professional family photos, of course I prefer the more natural approach but these were for church and the ones of the kids were great, so I had to buy a few!

Aubrie

Aubrie is getting to be such a big girl! She eats a ton, rolls from back to front and is trying her hardest to sit up. While other 6 1/2 month olds have no trouble with these tasks, remember, Aubrie is really only 4 1/2 months old!
