Today we were able to join our friends, Nik, Brooklynn, Walker and Harper (and their mommies too!) at their Mom's Group party. Branson had a lot of fun playing with his friends! We then went over to Jackie and Harper's and exchanged gifts. Branson loved his presents!!! Thanks friends!
Well, we had an interesting Santa experience this year. Last year Branson was all smiles! This year he loves to talk about and see Santa, but getting close to him is a very, very different story. We tried a trial run at Walmart last weekend and saw that it wasn't going to go well, so rather than pay at the mall, we got dressed up this weekend and went back to Walmart where Santa pictures are free! Branson would still have nothing to do with him... I was hoping to get a cute high five picture, but even that was too close for Branson! Mama ended up snuggled close to Santa with Branson barely squeezed in the picture! I will post these on Tuesday... for now, here is last years Santa shot! What a cute baby!!!!
Well this one is the best, though it has to be lightened up to print it out... You should all be seeing it soon on our Christmas cards! Merry Christmas!
Found these pictures in an old photo album at my parents house over the weekend... I was amused, so I thought I would post them to show you all what Branson might look like as a teen. These were all 9th-10th grade of me and Brandon along with some of our great friends of the time!
This one is actually of my 15th bday as a freshman... Brandon and I "went out" for a month that year, just in time for my bday! :)
Who knew we would end up married with a little one!
Brandon and Hoppe at the ranch! That was a fun trip with friends... we played king of the haybale and Hoppe ended up tackling my great uncle and father to the ground... those old guys should've known not to play with young football players!
I think this was at a friend's quincinera (spelling?!) Brandon, Aislynn and Hoppe! Hoppe and his wife Ashley are actually expecting their first boy soon! Congratulations!
Me and Ace... not sure how old we were in this one... 8th or 9th grade is my guess... we always had a lot of fun together being silly! Inseparable at the time!
On Saturday my family went to the 19th annual Christmas Spectacular in Johnson City... the atmosphere was nice but the parade was... shall we say... not so "spectacular?!" Brandon said the spectacular part is that it has been around for 19 years! Branson enjoyed the sights, sounds, and lights and that of course is what matters most!
Branson was too funny trying to knock on this door and even trying to work the painted on door handle!
Yet another newer Hurst Family tradition is to go hiking the day after Thanksgiving. This year we went to the Hill Country Natural Area in Bandera. We had a great time and of course, took LOTS of pics!
