Reading with Becca

Following our day (ok, it was really only an hour, but it felt like forever...) Jackie, Harper, Rebecca, Nik, Brook, and Walker came over to our house to play a little more. Branson and Rebecca were reading a book. Well Branson was reading and Becca was having a difficult time reading because Branson kept saying "bad dog!" (appropriate given the book they were reading!)

Capital Gymnastics Play date

Since I was off work, I got to join Jackie and Rebecca along with the kids at their playdate. It was a lot of fun! I could sure get used to being a stay at home mom!! Here are some pics I took of all the kids while we were there.

Branson really enjoyed playing at Capital Gymnastics with his friends. What a gymnast we are raising!

Brooklynn climbing and sliding! Beautiful girl!

Branson and Walker are big buds!

The kids enjoyed running down the in ground trampoline mat...

Nik and Harper had fun on different apparatuses too!

Capital Gymnastics

Pictures of the playdate by Jackie.
Branson enjoyed attempting to walk on the balance beam... he actually has pretty good balance.

Pommel horse was more his thing though!

and of course... sliding is always fun!

Words...

Branson's vocabulary continues to grow and now includes two word phrases like Thank you and Bad Dog... I know poor dogs... if only they could learn to be good!

The other day I was sure that I heard Branson say to Liberty "Bad Dog" and shake his finger at her after she had done something he didn't like... I thought I imagined it, but then when he went over to Jackie's the other night she too heard him say it! Now he won't stop saying it.... Brandon and Branson read books often, but since Brandon doesn't really find kids books very entertaining, they have begun a game where Brandon turns the page and Branson points out the dogs and says "dog". My mom and I actually bought Branson a book a long time ago called Bad Dog Max... Branson now looks through that book and finds the "bad dog". It is funny!

On a happier, more polite note, Branson is getting very good at appropriately using Thank You. We are also working on Love you, but it is not quite recognizable.
